Saturday State of Play from Sony.
The video shows the character editor and the meeting (but not the battle) with the dragon. Gameplay is recorded in performance mode with 60 FPS and dynamic 4K. Also in the game there will be an enhanced picture mode with native 4K and 30 FPS.
Also in the gameplay, the updated interface is shown for the first time – in all previous presentations it was disabled. They decided to make it as minimalistic as possible without distracting elements.
In the video, you can hear that Bluepoint used parts of the original Demon’s Souls code to keep the core of the gameplay as the fans remembered it by adding new graphics.
For example, the AI of the enemies remains the same so that players can use the experience accumulated in the original over the years.
Together with the graphics, the sound has also been updated – in total, the developers have added several thousand new sound effects.
The Demon’s Souls remake will be released on PS5 along with the console on November 12 – in many regions, the console, however, will only appear on November 19.
Unlike Spider-Man: Miles Morales, it seems that no copies of Demon’s Souls were given out to journalists, and the game will not have any reviews before release.
