Previously, Metro authors released Arkitka.1 virtual reality headset.
The studio 4A Games, known for the Metro series, has posted several vacancies for the gameplay programmer position, in which development experience for the Oculus Rift or other VR headsets is among the preferences.
It is possible that in this case the old vacancy template was used, from which they forgot to remove the mention of VR – in 2017, the developers released the Arkitka.1 game exclusively for the Oculus Rift.
However, the head of Koch Media, Clemens Kundratitz, previously said that there is at least the opportunity to see VR games from the company’s franchises, including Metro from 4A Games, Kingdom Come or Dead Island.
Whether 4A Games is working on a VR game is not entirely clear, but the studio has previously confirmed that it is busy with the next Metro installment. The authors are also preparing an update for Metro Exodus for PS5 and Xbox Series X and a project for a new IP. Perhaps the vacancies are for him.
