The updated Swift 5 was the first announced device with Intel Xe graphics. In this case, a graphics adapter with Xe architecture is embedded in an unnamed Intel processor model. The design also includes an entry-level video card NVIDIA GeForce MX350, so it can be assumed that the solution from Intel is less productive.
The laptop will go on sale in October 2020, and until then we will probably not find out any details about Intel processors with integrated Xe graphics – there has not yet been an official presentation.
Swift 5 weighs less than a kilogram, equipped with Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 3 and RAM LPDDRAX (RAM with low power consumption, which is used in smartphones). The 14-inch IPS touchscreen is protected by an anti-bacterial silver ion based Gorilla Glass.
Acer Helios 700
The flagship of the gaming direction was the updated Helios 700. The changes compared to the 2019 models are minimal – it’s still a massive laptop weighing almost 5 kilograms. Iron upgraded to 10th generation Intel Core and NVIDIA graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 2080 Super.
Like last year, the keyboard and touchpad slide down, improving airflow to the cooling system and creating an emphasis on the wrists. The WASD keys use magneto-optical switches that are sensitive to pressure – in games this allows you to control your running speed and smoothly rotate the steering wheel in races.
Helios 700 will be available in September, the price for Europe is from 2700 euros (210 thousand rubles).
Acer also introduced several gaming monitors.
The Predator X25 has a refresh rate of 360 Hz at Full HD resolution. The manufacturer claims that the response frequency of the 24.5-inch TN-matrix is 0.5 ms (GtG). Also, the model is equipped with G-Sync and an external light sensor, which automatically adjusts the brightness and tone of the image to the situation in the room.
Predator XB3 is available with diagonals of 27 and 32 inches, the resolution ranges up to 4K, and the refresh rate reaches 240 Hz. Monitors are also equipped with backlight, support G-Sync and adapt to the level of illumination.
Monitors will go on sale in August, there are no prices for Russia yet.
