Android 10 update breaks some Sony smartphones

Sony has previously published a list of smartphones that will receive updates to the current version of the operating system. There are very few of them, among them are a couple of past flagships, Xperia XZ3 and XZ2. The released update brought in addition to the latest OS version an abundance of bugs that make mobile phones inefficient devices.

In particular, the owners of Sony smartphones complain about problems in the RAM, too high energy consumption, drop-down applications and a slowed down interface. The fingerprint scanner has become ineffective for some – it has been working for too long, they report on the unstable operation of the camera application (it refuses to start).

There are complaints about other errors that can be temporarily fixed by restarting the smartphone. In some cases, using a smartphone is basically impossible – it turns into a regular, but very expensive phone for dialing.

Mostly problems arise in smartphones with a Snapdragon 845 processor, but more recent smartphones – Xperia 1 and 5 – may not work correctly.
