Apple accidentally confirms development of AirTag GPS tracker

On the Apple Support YouTube channel, where tech support talks about chips and device capabilities, a video appeared mentioning AirTag, the company’s unannounced product. On the video drew attention resource Appleosophy.com. There was information about the development of the device before, but now Apple itself has actually confirmed the existence of the device.

In the now closed video, the company showed the process of resetting the iPhone to the factory settings with a screen recording. In the section “Find My” there was a mention of AirTags. This is a device with a GPS tracker, which, presumably, is needed to control the location of, for example, your suitcase on the road.

The premiere date of the device is still unknown. Perhaps the device will be presented together with the “budget” iPhone 9 this spring or with the iPhone 12 line in the fall.
