Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Apple closes its retail stores until March 27. This applies to all countries except China, said Tim Cook , CEO.
By March 13, 42 manufacturer stores in China resumed work, which was suspended in early February. “As elsewhere, the number of new infections continues to grow, we are taking additional measures to protect our team members and customers,” Apple said.
Employees of the company were recommended to switch to remote work. Employees of closed stores who receive hourly pay will continue to pay during the two-week quarantine.
