Honor officially unveiled its first flexible smartphone – Magic V. Price – from $ 1570
Honor has officially unveiled its first smartphone with a flexible screen, made in the form factor of the “book” – Magic V. This is reported by The Verge.
The device uses a form factor pioneered by Samsung in the Galaxy Z Fold devices. The new Magic V is equipped with both an external flat screen and an internal foldable one. The diagonal of the first is 6.45 inches (aspect ratio 21 to 9, 2560 × 1080 pixels, up to 120 Hz), the second is 7.9 inches (aspect ratio 10 to 9, 2272 × 1984 pixels, 90 Hz).
Compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, the device is wider and heavier. At the same time, Honor representatives say that the hinge mechanism and the flexible screen itself are designed for at least 200 thousand folds – this has already become the standard for the industry.
The hardware platform is as follows: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. There is also a 512 GB version. Battery capacity – 4750 mAh, the device supports 66-watt wired charging, replenishing 50% of the battery in 15 minutes. Operating system – Android 12 with Magic UI 6.0. The latter allows you to work with several applications at the same time. The main camera at the back consists of several modules, which are 50 megapixels. The asset also has a pair of 42-megapixel selfie modules.
In China, sales will start on January 18 for $ 1570. No plans to bring the device to the international market have been announced yet.
