Huawei held the title of the largest manufacturer of smartphones
For the second month in a row, Huawei has been recognized as the world’s largest smartphone maker. For the first time, the Chinese corporation won this title in April, beating Samsung. New results showed that in May the company remains in first place.
In the smartphone market, Huawei’s share is 19.7%. This is only one tenth of a percent more than Samsung with its 19.6%. In total, almost 82 million smartphones were sold in a month. At the same time, in April, the leadership of Huawei was more confident: 21.4% versus 19.1%. Samsung was able to improve its position thanks to the American market, where in May it sold 8.4 million smartphones (compared to 5.4 million in April).
Third place is taken by Apple with a market share of 13%. Next are Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo – each company has 8%.
