Microsoft has decided on the launch date for its Android Surface Duo device: it will be available in September, but pre-orders can be placed from today. A foldable device with two 5.6-inch OLED-screens will cost $ 1.3 thousand. The display resolution is 1800 × 1350 pixels, the aspect ratio of the screens is 3: 2, and Gorilla Glass provides protection.
Microsoft’s tablet (or huge smartphone) has a Snapdragon 855+ processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as standard. The last aspect is surprising given the cost of the device and current trends, when 128 GB is almost the standard for all mobile devices. The battery capacity is 3577 mAh.
The smartphone supports LTE networks, there is no 5G support.
Microsoft called the Surface Duo “probably the sexiest device the company has ever made.”
