Share call and message history on two iPhones with the same Apple ID
How to separate call history on my iPhone and wife’s smartphone if using the same Apple ID account.
Some users use different devices in the family on the same Apple ID or want to separate calls and messages between work and personal iPhones. To do this, you need to make several settings on each gadget.
How to turn off call sync
To separate calls on each device, do the following:
1. Go to Settings – Phone – On other devices and turn off receiving calls on other gadgets that do not need a shared call history.
2. Go to Settings – FaceTime and leave only one FaceTime entry for each device (it is desirable that it matches the phone number of the current device).
So each gadget will have its own call history and it will not work to receive calls to one gadget from another.
How to disable message sync
If you need to separate SMS messages and iMessage, do the following:
1. Go to Settings – iCloud and turn off the switch Messages .
2. Open the menu Settings – Messages – Sending / Receiving and leave only one iMessage entry for each device (it is desirable that it matches the phone number of the current device).
After that, the message history will be separate on each device.
