Sony unveils Xperia 5 II with 120Hz screen
Sony has unveiled a slightly more compact version of its very long and expensive Xperia 1 II smartphone. The new Xperia 5 II has a smaller screen diagonal, the length and width of the smartphone are 8 and 4 millimetres less, respectively. And cheaper by $ 150 – “only” $ 949 in the US. However, this is not the most important thing.
The Sony Xperia 5 II smartphone received a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2520 × 1080 pixels (from a brother – 3840 × 1644). The novelty is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chip with a clock speed of up to 2.84 GHz. The battery capacity of the novelty is 4000 mAh.
The screen has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The front panel houses two stereo speakers. The traditional headphone jack is in place.
On the back there is a module of three cameras. They have lenses with focal lengths of 16, 24 and 70 millimetres, if we speak in the language of a photographer and translate into a 35-millimetre equivalent: after all, the smartphone is positioned as a photographic tool. The Xperia 5 II can record 4K video at 120fps in HDR.
The smartphone will go on sale in December.
