The world’s first smartphone with a camera under the screen was estimated at $ 320
ZTE has unveiled the world’s first mass-produced smartphone with a front-facing camera built into the display. The Axon 20 5G features a 6.92-inch FHD + OLED display, a Snapdragon 765 processor with 5G support, a 64-megapixel main camera that supports 4K recording at 60 fps, as well as HDR in real time. The front-facing “hidden” camera is a 32-megapixel one. The battery capacity is 4220 mAh.
The younger version of the smartphone with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory will cost $ 320, the version with 8 GB of RAM – $ 365 . The older model – with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory – $ 410. The prices are relevant for China, as it is not yet known whether the new product will be available outside of China.
Technically, the ZTE Axon 20 5G is not the “world’s first” smartphone with a front-facing camera under the screen, as other vendors have previously shown prototypes or talked about developments in this direction. However, as a serial device of such a plan, Axon 20 5G can claim the title of “first”.
