Password autofill stopped working on iOS. How to fix it?

The service for automatically filling passwords and migrating data via iCloud allows you to quickly fill in data for authorization on different sites and services. However, sometimes this service may not work.

Now let’s figure out what can be done if the password on any site has ceased to be filled automatically.

How to restore autofill passwords on iPhone

1. Disable and re-enable the Autofill passwords option along the path Settings – Passwords – Autofill passwords .

2. In the same menu, check which password autofill service is used. The default iCloud Keychain may have been replaced with a different service.

To check, leave only one desired service and disable the rest for a while.

3. Make sure you are not using Private Browsing Mode in Safari or any other browser you are using. In this mode, autocomplete passwords will not work.

4. Check if the password you need is in the Keychain Access (or other password manager you use). To do this, go to Settings – Passwords and find the desired site or service through the search.

5. Sometimes a site changes its domain name, in which case the saved password from the old domain will not be filled in automatically. It will need to be resaved for the new site address.https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-9157541845401398&output=html&h=190&slotname=4787867414&adk=689291094&adf=4086825644&pi=t.ma~as.4787867414&w=760&fwrn=4&lmt=1649940799&rafmt=11&psa=1&format=760×190&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.iphones.ru%2FiNotes%2Fq%2Fpochemu-na-iphone-ne-rabotaet-avtozapolnenie-paroley-02-05-2022&wgl=1&adsid=ChAI8IzfkgYQssPE6reF_qx1EjkAkPXsQDUZ1DdeEAuPmGxYsA08OMIUuH1aRaLjDo2yf3X1jLJln7e0Y0Mulr7vdQMMnxVnoOebgUA&uach=WyJXaW5kb3dzIiwiMTAuMC4wIiwieDg2IiwiIiwiOTUuMC40NjM4LjY5IixbXSxudWxsLG51bGwsIjY0IixbXSxmYWxzZV0.&tt_state=W3siaXNzdWVyT3JpZ2luIjoiaHR0cHM6Ly9wYWdlYWQyLmdvb2dsZXN5bmRpY2F0aW9uLmNvbSIsInN0YXRlIjoyOSwiaGFzUmVkZW1wdGlvblJlY29yZCI6dHJ1ZX1d&dt=1649940764740&bpp=3&bdt=2302&idt=3&shv=r20220412&mjsv=m202204040101&ptt=9&saldr=aa&abxe=1&cookie=ID%3D43ffa0c7cbf7935f-2245245d1cd200f6%3AT%3D1649615913%3ART%3D1649615913%3AS%3DALNI_MYqDeSLfUVAb84dXuOoSJey373ipw&prev_fmts=0x0%2C300x600%2C1200x280&nras=1&correlator=1362332462271&frm=20&pv=1&ga_vid=374928360.1649615912&ga_sid=1649940763&ga_hid=1242308431&ga_fc=1&rplot=4&u_tz=300&u_his=1&u_h=768&u_w=1366&u_ah=728&u_aw=1366&u_cd=24&u_sd=1&dmc=4&adx=115&ady=3210&biw=1349&bih=625&scr_x=0&scr_y=1100&eid=44759876%2C44759927%2C44759842%2C44760474%2C44760495%2C21067496&oid=2&psts=AGkb-H_5WJfH0F2FmjcE6m2gzlAr6Lin_nerJtHUqMf9kbtCMFEF4v042C3Dk-_25KCz-xUFR9b5joll4vgF0Jg%2CAGkb-H-K1aEkpBoUXwt2YEwRj5cJuJTUrtOyqW90e0iZn5lt_8ecSLt6Cdmnagz2vzizMPcT_PFRMTHgNUY0&pvsid=382822905008293&pem=300&tmod=1409294762&uas=3&nvt=1&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.iphones.ru%2FiNotes%2Fq%2Fpage%2F2&eae=0&fc=1920&brdim=0%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C1366%2C0%2C1366%2C728%2C1366%2C625&vis=1&rsz=%7C%7CeEbr%7C&abl=CS&pfx=0&fu=128&bc=31&jar=2022-04-10-19&ifi=3&uci=a!3&btvi=1&fsb=1&xpc=MzQcoTsxy5&p=https%3A//www.iphones.ru&dtd=34579

This can be done directly in the system settings by adding a new entry in the Passwords section .

6. Reboot your smartphone and check the functionality of autofill passwords.

After all the manipulations done, the option should work.
