Xiaomi introduced a transparent OLED TV for 7 thousand dollars
This is the only TV of this type for the mass market.
In honor of its 10th anniversary, Xiaomi has announced several new products – two smartphones and a transparent OLED TV Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition.
The 55-inch panel has a Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and the DCI-P3 coverage is 93%. The screen is transparent, so you will have to watch it in complete darkness – instead of “real black”, the switched off parts of the OLED matrix will be viewed through and through.
All the “stuffing” of the TV is hidden in a non-removable round base-stand, which also houses Dolby Atmos certified speakers.
The TV costs 50,000 yuan (Rs 1,213,728) and will go on sale in China by the end of summer. This is the first such TV to be in mass production for the consumer market – LG Signage (on the basis of which the Xiaomi version is produced) is sold for commercial use as a video display case and costs about 25 thousand dollars .
