Cyberpunk 2077 will support four tracing effects and Nvidia DLSS 2.0

The game will also be available on the GeForce NOW cloud service on release day.


Details about ray tracing effects in RPG from CD Projekt RED spoke to Nvidia blog. With ray tracing enabled, four main effects will work in the game.

Diffuse lighting – makes light from the moon and sun, and surfaces like billboards and signs more realistic.

Reflections – works on all surfaces and at distances up to several kilometers.

Diffuse Shading – calculates the illumination of each individual point on surfaces.

Shadows are more convincing shadows that appear based on the brightness and movement of light sources, including indirect ones.

The company also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will support DLSS 2.0 anti-aliasing technology, which increases fps and enhances the picture using AI algorithms.

The game will also be available on GeForce NOW on the day of its release scheduled for November 19th. Nvidia promises that the RPG will run in the “cloud” at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
