DIRT 5 will support 120 fps not only on the Xbox Series X, but also on the PS5

This was confirmed by developers from Codemasters.

Initially, the creators of DIRT 5 mentioned the increased frame rate mode, talking about the features of the version for the Xbox Series X, and did not specify whether its analogue would appear on the console from Sony. However, in an interview with the British edition of Official PlayStation Magazine, development director Rob Karp said that this option will also be on the PS5.

Karp also noted that in the race from Codemasters they will use the features of the DualSense controller, although he did not specify how. Apparently, thanks to the dynamic feedback of buttons and triggers, the control of each car model in DIRT 5 will feel differently.

DualSense is a great controller. When we managed to launch technodemo on the PS5, almost the entire studio gathered at the console, everyone wanted to try it. This gamepad provides new, unique opportunities – and we believe that it is perfect for racing, especially for a game with so much content and such a variety of machines.

The studio also announced that the game will have twelve different classes of cars: from classic rally cars and their variations, traditional for the eighties and nineties, to SUVs and off-road trucks.

The release of DIRT 5 on consoles of the current generation and PC will be held on October 9. Later, the game will be released on the Xbox Series X, PS5, as well as the Stadia streaming platform.
