DJI has patented an all-terrain all-terrain vehicle equipped with a video camera on a special suspension. Using a system of shock absorbers and springs, it can maintain a directional position and not be subjected to loads when driving on rough terrain.
The drawings accompanying the application depict such a “rover”, and rather detailed, which may hint at the seriousness of DJI’s intentions to release a “serious” device. It is assumed that a wheeled drone will be able to carry on board a battery of increased capacity compared to flying drones.
It is worth noting that the company already has a RoboMaster S1 – a drone on wheels, which is positioned as a training device.
