The SpaceX CEO revealed the estimated launch dates for the Crew Dragon spacecraft with astronauts. According to Elon Musk, this will happen in the second quarter of this year: approximately in April – June.
It is planned to take on board two NASA astronauts. They will go to the International Space Station and stay there for several days. The rocket and the Crew Dragon capsule itself are already being transported to Florida, where the launch will take place. Musk said that the “iron” part will be fully ready in February or in extreme cases in March.
NASA administrator Jim Brydenstein suggested that the mission could be longer than originally planned. In this case, astronauts will need to undergo additional training to work on the ISS.
