Battle Royale will run on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 4K at 60 fps, and on Xbox Series S at 1080p at 60 fps.
About performance and other features Fortnite on consoles new generation of Epic Games said on its website.
According to the developers of the game, on PS5 and Xbox Series X, the effects will be improved in it – so, smoke, liquids, storms and clouds will look more realistic, and grass and tree leaves will react to explosions. Fortnite will also load faster textures and provide faster transitions to matches on both consoles, thanks to the SSD.
Epic Games noted that “most” of the game’s improvements for the Xbox Series X will be available on the “younger” version of the console, Series S. For example, the game will run in split screen mode at 60 fps – just like on Series X and PS5.
On the PlayStation 5, Battle Royale will take advantage of the DualSense controller’s kickback and adaptive triggers, as well as the Console’s Activity interface, which will allow you to enter any Fortnite mode from the PS5 home screen.
The next-gen version of Fortnite will be available on next-gen consoles on the day they are released.
