Several major technology giants have decided to suspend their offices in China. Google, Amazon and Microsoft took such a step. Employees extended their Lunar New Year holidays and were asked to work from home. Google asked workers not to visit China and Hong Kong, and those who were there were advised to leave the country as soon as possible.
According to the BBC, Google has four offices in China that are responsible for sales, marketing and development (the search engine does not officially work here). Similar measures were taken by Microsoft and Amazon, as well as other companies. In particular, Amazon reported that business trips to and from China are limited.
Restrictions on the movement and suspension of work were also announced by Tesla, General Motors, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and PSA. In some cases, companies organize a centralized evacuation of employees from China.
