Device Preparation

Before installing a new OS, it is important to backup the iPhone. This is necessary in case something goes wrong during the installation, or you decide to roll back to iOS 13 (judging by the first experience with beta for developers, many will want to).

On the device itself

1 . Go to Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud -> Backup.

2 . Turn on the iCloud backup toggle switch and wait for the end.

Via iTunes

1 . We connect the iPhone to the computer by wire and open iTunes.

2 . Go to the top of the program in the section with your iPhone.

3 . In the Automatic copying section, select This computer .

4 . Click Create backup now and wait for the backup to finish.

That’s all, we have prepared for the worst. Now you can update.

How to install iOS 14 Public beta 1

Now is the time to install iOS 14 Public beta 1 on iPhone. Chased.

1 . We go to the beta site of Apple.

2 . Click Register and enter data from your Apple ID.

3 . We follow this link and download the profile.

4 . We reboot the device, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update .

That’s all. It remains to wait for the download and installation to finish.

What to test first

This beta version has more than 39 innovations . The main one is widgets on the desktop.

From the smaller: the App Library section, new wallpapers, search by emoji, adjusting the exposure in the camera and much more.
