Despite the fact that the MWC exhibition was canceled this year, Huawei still arrived in Barcelona. There she introduced the Mate Xs smartphone. This is a modified model of a flexible phone with an improved swivel and a slightly updated hardware.
Smartphone Mate Xs
When unfolded, the diagonal of the Mate Xs display is 8 inches. When folded, we get two screens – 6.6-inch and 6.4-inch. The device runs on the Kirin 990 processor, thanks to which the computing power of the device compared to its predecessor increased by 23%, and graphic performance – by 39%.
The smartphone is equipped with a main 40-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto and a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor. There is also a ToF sensor that detects the distance to the object.
Huawei Mate Xs will be sold in March worldwide without Google services. A smartphone with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory was estimated at 2500 euros.
MatePad Pro Tablet
Also at the presentation showed the tablet MatePad Pro. The device is equipped with a 10.8-inch display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. The tablet is characterized by relatively small dimensions due to the narrow frames – the screen occupies 90% of the front surface area.
The thickness of the MatePad Pro is 7.2 mm, weight – 460 grams. On board there are four speakers and five microphones, fast wired and wireless charging is supported, as well as the ability to charge other devices. Sales of the tablet will begin in April at a price of 549 to 949 euros, depending on the presence or absence of 5G support, as well as the built-in memory of 256 or 512 GB. For 129 euros, it will be possible to buy a keyboard case, and for 99 euros – a stylus.
MateBook X Pro Notebook
Huawei revealed several new laptop models and the MateBook X Pro – the most interesting of them. Metal case, modern filling, all things. The most noteworthy display. It is a 14-inch, touch, traditionally occupies almost the entire panel and still received a resolution of 3000 × 2000 pixels.
Prices for the MateBook X Pro start at 1,500 euros and reach 2,000 euros. In the latter case, we get a fresh Core i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB solid-state drive and a GeForce MX250 graphics accelerator.
Router WiFi AX3
Another interesting device from today’s presentation is the Huawei WiFi AX3. This, as the company noted, is the world’s first WiFi 6+ router for Huawei devices.
The device runs on the Harmony operating system and at a frequency of 5 GHz it is ready to show speeds up to 2400 Mbit / s.
