In iOS 14, it will be possible to launch individual parts of applications without downloading from the App Store

Apple is working on a new way to showcase certain parts of third-party iOS apps without having to install them.

Judging by the code that 9to5Mac discovered , the new function will allow users to test part of the application’s functionality by scanning a QR code or following a link.

A special Clips API has been introduced for this. It allows developers to offer interactive and dynamic content from their applications, even if you have not installed them. Scan the QR code, the program card opens with a native user interface.

For example, your iPhone does not have YouTube, but you scanned the code, and the video platform interface in a separate card opened in front of you. Bottom line: you can watch the video without installing YouTube.

Developers only need to specify which part of the application should be downloaded by iOS as an Over-The-Air package to read this content. [ 9to5 ]
