Apple has released iOS 13.5 for everyone.
Build Number – 17F75
In this update, Apple fixed bugs in previous releases, improved performance, and added several new useful features.
So what’s new?
COVID-19 infected contact notifications
IOS 13.5 introduced an API that allows official health care applications to track user contacts with coronavirus infected users . A similar API was released for Android.
If the user was next to the virus carrier, then a notification about a possible infection with COVID-19 will be sent to his smartphone.
Face ID recognizes masks
When you unlock the iPhone in the mask, instead of Face ID displays the password entry screen. The same thing happens during authorization in any application that supports Face ID.
When there is no mask on the face, then Face ID works as usual.
Mask recognition is enabled by default. You can’t disable it in any way.
You can disable dynamic tiles in FaceTime
By default, FaceTime enlarges the speaker window, while reducing other users’ images.
In iOS 13.5, dynamic tiles can be disabled . To do this, go to Settings → FaceTime → Auto-Accent and put the toggle switch in the inactive position. Now the images of the participants in the conversation will always remain the same size.
Music from Apple Music can be shared on Instagram Stories
While listening to a track in Apple Music, click the Share button and select Instagram or Facebook. The application will automatically generate a cover with the name of the track and an animated background.
Instagram users can open the track simply by clicking on its cover.
App Store Tips
On the Search tab in the App Store, in addition to popular queries, recommended applications and games are displayed.
