iPad will teach handwriting recognition in mail, browsers and other applications

In iOS 14, they found a mention of the PencilKit function, which recognizes handwritten text.

To use PencilKit, you need an iPad with an Apple Pencil. Users will be able to write text by hand, then it will be converted to normal.

The function will work in all standard applications. Developers are likely to get the PencilKit API and be able to integrate it with their programs.

It is not yet known which languages will be supported other than English.

Currently, iOS is not able to translate handwritten text into regular text, but Notes application recognizes handwritten words and can search for them. [ Macrumors ]
