The LEGO Colosseum set will include 9,036 pieces, making it the largest in terms of the number of components. Before that, the largest LEGO set was the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, released in 2017 (7,541 parts), and before that – the model of the Indian mausoleum of the Taj Mahal (5,923 parts).
“Colosseum” is a model of the ancient Roman amphitheater, built in 72 – 80 AD for gladiatorial battles and other mass entertainment and games.
The axis of the real Colosseum is about 187 meters, height from 48 to 50 meters. The LEGO model of the amphitheater will be 27 centimeters high, 52 centimeters wide and 59 centimeters long.
The LEGO Colosseum set will go on sale November 27 and will cost less than the Millennium Falcon – a Star Wars set can be purchased for $ 800, and the amphitheater model will be priced at $ 550.
