Marvel bought the rights to comics on franchises “Alien” and “Predator”

On this occasion, the studio presented special artworks with a xenomorph and an alien hunter.

Marvel acquired the rights to the Alien and Predator comics from Dark Horse Comic, which has been engaged in franchises since 1988 and 1989, respectively. This is not the first deal between the studios – in 2015, Marvel also bought the rights to Star Wars comics from Dark Horse.

The first Alien and Predator artworks for Marvel were drawn by illustrator David Finch, known for Batman comics. In the images you can see a xenomorph sneaking onto the ship of the Guardians of the galaxy, and a Predator holding an Iron Man helmet.

At the same time, Marvel does not plan to make Alien and Predator crossovers with superhero lines – instead, the studio intends to expand franchises in accordance with the released films.
