It will receive a 4.7-inch screen, but it is unclear whether the size of the device will change from this.
Apple will release the “spiritual successor” iPhone SE in the spring of 2020. The device will receive a 4.7-inch screen and will be in the same price category as the SE. This was reported by Nikkei, citing its own sources.
According to reporters, the new version of SE will be very similar in performance to the iPhone 8, which was released with a 4.7-inch display. The device will also get a cheaper LCD display, like the iPhone 8.
In this case, the device can be equipped with the latest processor and other internal components. It is not yet clear whether the new SE Face ID will be received, however, publication sources are inclined to believe that the smartphone will have fingerprint authorization through Touch ID.
As noted in 9to5Mac, the new iPhone models bring Apple about half of the total smartphone sales. The rest is generated by cheaper models of past generations, including the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7. Apple also produces the iPhone XR, which is cheaper than the top models, but too expensive to get into the budget segment.
However, with the release of iPhone 11, Apple may abandon the iPhone 7. Replacement can be found in the form of iPhone SE 2, the cost of which will be no more than 399 dollars
