Microsoft plans to release Defender antivirus on iOS and Android. The giant is developing applications for mobile operating systems designed to provide antivirus protection and “full command line interaction.”
The company claims that the main goal of the antivirus will be protection against phishing in order to prevent company employees from accidentally revealing their usernames, passwords or other account information.
How exactly this will be implemented on iOS is unknown.
It is expected that Microsoft will show the first versions of applications next week. The release date is likely to be announced at the same time. [ The Verge ]
