Nintendo Switch sales grew 136% in October from the same period last year, according to NPD Group analysts, with both mainstream models and exclusively portable Lite models.
As noted by analysts, this is the best October for Switch of all time, as well as the second most successful October in the history of consoles in the United States. On the second criterion, Switch was second only to the Wii, which reached 807,000 unit sales in October 2008.
Analysts highlighted that Switch continues its record streak as the best-selling console for 23 straight months – the most time for a console since NPD began tracking sales.
Total Switch sales in the US are currently 22.5 million units and worldwide 68 million.
As part of Black Friday in the US, Nintendo will launch a Switch Bundle with a code to download Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and three months of Nintendo Switch Online.
