Online only. Apple announced WWDC 2020 in June

Apple announced that the WWDC 2020 Developer Conference will be held in June as an online broadcast. The company abandoned the usual format due to an outbreak of coronavirus.

The conference will present new versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS. Developers will be able to chat with Apple engineers who develop applications and operating systems.

In June this year we will hold the WWDC 2020 conference in a unique format that will open up completely new ways of communication and interaction for developers from all over the world.

The current situation in the world required us to find a new format for WWDC 2020, and today we are pleased to announce that all our developers will have full access to presentations, meetings and training opportunities at our conference. We will give all the details in the coming weeks .

Phil Schiller, Apple Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

Apple also added that it would give San Jose companies $ 1 million in compensation for losses associated with the conversion of WWDC to the online format. [ Apple ]
