Parent company THQ Nordic bought studio Tarsier – creator of Little Nightmares

The developers will finish Little Nightmares 2, however, the rights to the series will remain with another publisher – Bandai Namco.

Swedish studio Tarsier is part of the Embracer Group, which owns the video game publisher THQ Nordic. The transaction amount amounted to 8.5 million euros in cash, in addition to which the owners of Tarsier received shares of the Embracer Group in the amount of one million euros. They will also be charged based on the profitability of Tarsier.

The studio, which has 65 employees, will continue to develop Little Nightmares 2, but the rights to the series will remain with the Japanese publisher Bandai Namco.

Together with Tarsier we want to invest in the development of new projects in the corporate identity of the studio. We look forward to working with the management and all Tarsier employees to use the quality and creativity that the team has and take it to the next level.
