Pencil fights and Bakugan: what was shown on the Nintendo Treehouse

On the evening of July 10, Nintendo hosted Treehouse Stream. It showed the gameplay and details of Paper Mario: The Origami King and announced Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia, a game created by WayForward, known for its Shantae series, and WB Games.

There will be 81 bakugan and over 100 quests and 200 abilities in the franchise action RPG. Each Bakugan will be able to use up to four abilities. With the development of Bakugan, its characteristics will increase.

On the broadcast, the developers showed an exploration of the world and the battle of the Bakugan.

Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia is due out November 3, 2020 on the Nintendo Switch.

Paper Mario: The Origami King

At the Nintendo Treehouse, they introduced the introduction of Paper Mario: The Origami King – according to its plot, Mario arrives at Princess Peach’s palace and suddenly ends up in prison. He frees himself from there along with Bowser and new acquaintance Olivia and discovers that the Mushroom Kingdom has captured Ollie, the king of origami.

The developers also showed fights in which Mario can attack enemies with a hammer, as well as jump on them. The battle with the boss was also shown on the stream – a box of colored pencils was the opponent of Mario. Her main vulnerability is attacks from the rear, after which the set cover closes and the boss takes a lot of damage.

In addition to the broadcast, you could see the solution to puzzles with the help of the transformation “Hands of a Thousand Techniques” and an exploration of the world, which Mario can repair damaged areas with confetti.

Paper Mario: The Origami King will be released July 17 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
