According to unconfirmed information, the studio will launch a fundraising campaign for the port for Switch on February 3.
The studio page on Kickstarter was discovered on February 1 – so far the profile is private and there is no information there. She is associated with The Wonderful 101, which the network is actively talking about: players found a hint at the project port for Switch in a recent photo of Hideki Kamiya, the game’s game director.
Previously, developers have already announced that they would like to release a game on Switch. If the assumption is correct, then they will collect funds for this on Kickstarter. We can also assume that this is the first step of the studio to self-publishing games.
There is also unconfirmed information about other platforms – PS4 and Xbox One, however, the brand The Wonderful 101 belongs to Nintendo. A former employee of the studio, however, said on Twitter that the trademark is in co-ownership, so this is an option.
This was later confirmed by insider Liam Robertson on Twitter, noting also that PlatinumGames could buy the brand The Wonderful 101.
The Wonderful 101 was released in August 2013 and was the exclusive Wii U. The player controls a horde of superheroes who save civilians and recruit them into their team. Heroes are able to turn into various objects, and the larger the composition, the more these objects can be.
