The remaster of Sam & Max Save the World was created by Skunkape Games, which includes the authors of the original game. They were reprinting with the approval of Steve Purcell, creator of the Sam & Max series.
The remaster Sam & Max Save the World adds updated graphics, support for widescreen resolutions and modern gamepads, as well as five new music tracks.
Judging by the Skunkape Games website, the studio also expects to release remasters of Beyond Time and Space and The Devil’s Playhouse – the second and third seasons of Sam & Max. Officially, their updated versions have not yet been announced.
The original Sam & Max Save the World was released in 2007 for PC, in 2008 for Nintendo Wii, in 2009 for Xbox 360.
Sam & Max Save the World Remastered will release on December 2 on Nintendo Switch and PC on Steam and GOG. The cost of playing on a PC in Russia was 435 rubles. Users who own the original Sam & Max Save the World on Steam, GOG, or the Telltale Store can purchase the remaster until December 3 at a 50% discount.
