Samsung introduced a 5G chip for mid-range smartphones

Samsung has unveiled the Exynos 880 chip, which will be used in mid-range smartphones. True, the announcement can be partially considered formal: at a recent vivo Y70s presentation it was reported that the smartphone will receive Exynos 880. But now there are details about the chip.

It was built according to the 8 nm manufacturing process and consists of eight cores: two Cortex-A77 (frequency 2 GHz) and six Cortex-A55 (1.8 GHz). Graphics handles Mali-G76 MP5. The chip supports the resolution of one photosensor up to 64 megapixels or two sensors according to the “20 megapixels + 20 megapixels” scheme. Exynos 880 allows you to record video in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.

But the main thing in this is 5G support. The maximum theoretical download speed is 2.55 Gbit / s, and the return is 1.28 Gbit / s.
