Samsung plans to increase production of flexible screens to a million units per month. This is about four times more than the current pace of production – now the South Korean manufacturer produces about 260 thousand bendable displays every month.
By May, the figure will increase to 600 thousand a month. According to ET News, Samsung receives requests for flexible screens from Chinese manufacturers – hence the need to increase production volumes.
Another reason is one’s own needs. Samsung, according to preliminary information, this year will introduce at least one smartphone with a fading screen – the successor to the Galaxy Fold. In addition, there is a production of fresh Galaxy Z Flip.
