Pegatron will launch a factory in Vietnam in 2020, which is likely to launch styluses for Samsung smartphones. It is reported by Digitimes, citing industry sources. Pegatron also intends to obtain contracts for the production of smartphones under the Google brand, for which new production facilities will open.
Pegatron will continue, according to the president of the company, to expand its presence outside of China, including in Mexico and the Czech Republic, which will bypass the possible restrictions that the US imposes on Chinese companies.
In addition, China’s labor costs are high, which requires finding ways to cut costs. These include the transfer of production to other countries.
