Spider-Man: Miles Morales features a street named after Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther

And also a monument to comic book author Stan Lee.

Miles Morales has many comic book references and Easter eggs, but two of them are about real people who have become an important part of the legacy of Marvel. One of them can be found on 42nd Street in the playable version of Manhattan: the section between Third and First Avenues is named Boseman Way, after the actor Chadwick Boseman.

Boseman played Black Panther in the MCU films and passed away from cancer in August 2020 at the age of 43. The very location of Boseman Way is a reference to the movie 42 about baseball player Jackie Robinson, after which the actor gained real fame.

The developers of Miles Morales dedicated the game itself to the memory of the performer of the role of T’Challa. He received a mention in the credits with the words “his nobility, strength and compassion will be remembered for many generations.”

In addition, a dedication to Stan Lee, comic book author and former president of Marvel, can be found in virtual New York. A memorial in his honor stands next to Mick’s on the Upper East Side, a scene from Insomniac’s original Spider-Man where Lee made a cameo appearance.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released on PS4 and PS5 on November 12
