Two-time Oscar nominee was 90 years old.
Swedish actor Max Von Syudov died at the age of 90 – this happened in Provence in France. The death was reported by the wife of the actor and producer Katherine von Sydow.
The actor died on March 8. His wife asked the media to respect the family.
Max Von Sydow was born in 1929 in the Swedish city of Lund. In Sweden, he also graduated from an acting studio at the theater. Syudov is primarily known for working with director Ingmar Bergman. Their first project was “The Seventh Seal” – she received an award in Cannes for the special look of the jury. Among their other popular paintings are The Girl’s Spring and Communion.
During his career, Max von Sydow has played more than 150 roles. One of his most famous works remained in the films “The Exorcist”, “Pelle the Conqueror”, “Where Dreams Come,” Terribly Loud and Extremely Close, ”“ Island of the Damned ”. For “Pelle the Conqueror” and “Terribly Loud and Extremely Close” he was nominated for an Oscar.
Von Syudov played in films and TV shows until the very last years of his life. He played the role of Lor San Tekku in the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as well as the Three-Eyed Raven in Game of Thrones.
