The head of Gears of War will deal with the Diablo franchise

Rod Ferguson, who was responsible for the games of the Gears of War series and took part in the development of the first of them, will now be engaged in the Diablo franchise. Probably, it will help correct the situation in which Blizzard found herself due to a series of not too successful steps, which, first of all, include the announcement on BlizzCon 2018 of mobile Diablo: Immortal.

At BlizzCon 2019, the studio announced Diablo IV – a full-fledged game, which, as they said in the company, will be closer to the gloomy original. There is currently no release date for the project, the cat also cried. Maybe Rod Ferguson joined the team just in time and lead the project to success.

Rod Ferguson began his IT career in 1996 at Microsoft. In 2005, he moved to Epic Games, which took over the Gears of War. In 2012, he left the studio, getting a job at Irrational Games (then BioShock Infinite was being developed). After about a year, Ferguson quit and then got a job at The Coalition.
