TSMC begins mass production of top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chip

Qualcomm has not yet announced the new Snapdragon 875 chip, but it has already become known that its production has begun. Issued by TSMC, whose factories assemble many components for electronics.

It is known that the Snapdragon 875 is based on the 5 nm manufacturing process. The volume of production of Snapdragon 875 is now 60 thousand units per month. Qualcomm will receive the chips tentatively in September, after which the company will be able to provide them to smartphone manufacturers.

The Snapdragon 875 supposedly uses the Adreno 660 graphics accelerator and Kryo 685 processor.

Other manufacturers are also preparing to present their own chips on the 5 nm manufacturing process. For example, such a solution is expected in Apple A14, Huawei Kirin 1000 and Kirin 1020, as well as Samsung Exynos 992.
