US military asked not to do home DNA tests

The official Pentagon sent a notice to the relevant departments, strongly recommending that military personnel not use DNA sampling kits at home. The document notes that the collection and sending of such data raises certain concerns, but it does not specify which ones.

The documents also say that the market for collecting information about DNA is not regulated, so you can not be sure that the data will remain closed and will not fall into the wrong hands. This, in turn, threatens the conduct of various military operations in the future.

In addition, inaccuracies in tests conducted by various third-party companies are also dangerous. The military may misinterpret the results, and according to the requirements, all potential health risks must be reported.
