The ray tracing patch was released on the platform on November 7th.

The first videos and screenshots from journalists and bloggers began to appear on the network, where you can see the work of ray tracing in Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox Series consoles. Their own photographs were published, among others, by The Verge editor Tom Warren and the Digital Foundry author John Linneman.

As Linnemann pointed out separately, the quality of ray tracing on consoles was significantly “cut” compared to the version for the PC. In particular, this concerns objects located too far from the reflective surface: the models themselves are replaced with “cubic textures”. This limitation applies to all versions of the game, but it is stronger on consoles.

On the Xbox Series S, tracing is also available – short videos recorded on the console were published by the host of the YouTube channel Modern Vintage Gamer.
